What are Tikkun Learning Circles?
They provide Some much needed face to face time with old & neW friends
Old school learning usually meant “a sage on the stage”. Jewish learning, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of face to face learning in pairs - otherwise known as hevruta.
The beauty of this style is that you not only get to have your voice heard, but there’s also an opportunity to listen on a deeper and holier level.
Most of the ideas on this website, for the most part, can only be engaged with via the medium of the computer.
Tikkun Learning Circles (TLC) create a space for us to put the computer aside and to interact with these life-giving and meaningful ideas IRL (in real life) - because that’s where we’ll be experimenting with this wisdom anyway!
In Hebrew “tikkun” means a collection of texts. It also means something that brings repair to the world. Through our study and conversation around texts, we can create together a little oasis of peace and rejuvenation from all of the stresses of the world around us.
You (yes, you!) are invited you to join the conversation. We can’t wait to hear what’s on your mind and to share what’s on ours.
Our next TLC event will be a guided meditation sit.
The meditation sit will be followed by short text study and conversation.
Stay tuned for more details.
